Adobe just recently announced a Photographer’s special for their Creative Cloud. For just $9.99 a month you can get the latest versions of Photoshop and Lightroom. This is pretty awesome, but sad at the same time. All my hard earned dollars spent on Photoshop CS 5 and Lightroom 4.
It will be nice to always have the latest and greatest versions. I am excited to get in and learn about all the new features. You can find the package program here:

As a hobbyist photographer with an entry level DSLR, I am always on the look out for photography contests for a chance at amazing equipment upgrades. A few of the big ones usually come from Scoutt Bourne and Fstoppers.
The most recent one I have entered in (and you should too!) is from SnapKnot. Check it out in the links below!
Big thanks to the SnapKnot wedding photography directory for offering this great camera giveaway!
I was lucky enough to not have any damage or even lose power. The majority of the city was not so lucky. My moms house and sisters house both had trees take out parts of their fence. In the mist of the storm, I managed to get out and capture some of the mayhem.
Had a maternity shoot with my sister and her husband this weekend. More to come!
I am a bit behind schedule in posting these, as my daughter is closer to 21 months old now, but here is her 18 month photo shoot. Experimented with some strobes and umbrellas for lighting and they turned out fairly nice. I still have plenty to learn with lighting setups and especially editing, but I am happy with how these turned out.
Was out for a walk and took a few shots just around my neighborhood. I usually see cool things, but don’t have my camera with me. This time, I did!
Setting up for some business portrait shoots this weekend and did a few test shots. Anyone need to update their LinkedIn profile picture? Give me a call and we can set up a time. Still doing free work to build up my portfolio!
Didn’t have much luck with cloud cover for the Perigee moon of 2012, but managed a few cool shots. Definitely want a 500mm or so to get more moon! Here is a little photoshopped version of Saturday night in my backyard.
Still doing work for free while I build up my portfolio. Contact me if you want some free photos!
I just got some new lights as well so I can take more indoor studio shots. Give me a call or use the contact form on the site!
